Topo Land Analysis

Topo. Build right, the first time. Wherever you are planning to build, choosing a viable property choosing a viable property is the most important decision you will make. Our detailed site analysis can provide you with valuable, accurate information to take out the guess work in making informed decisions before and after your purchase.

We developed our modeling programs in response to the real, on-the-ground needs of homeowners and builders in our region. It started out as a method of ensuring proper access and solar orientation for new construction, and has evolved into an important part of our design package. It is utilized by individual homeowners, architects, and landscapers.

As part of our in-house environmental design planning toolkit, it is critical in allowing us to efficiently design useful interfaces and connections between a building, the outdoors and the transitional spaces in between.

Smart planning saves trees and also limits the overall human footprint.

Smart Planning

Proper planning, with the foreknowledge of grading requirements, allows us to preserve more of the existing trees and natural features of the land. Disturbance to the site is reduced, as are costs for site restoration. Foundation costs can be minimized and more accurately estimated. We tailor each map and model to the requirements of your project, to provide you with information that will take the guesswork out of your planning and save you money. General Contractors love this.

2D Mapping of actual terrain

Precision Base-Mapping

We create accurate maps of your property with all salient details, natural and man-made. In its simplest form, this is a 2-Dimensional representation of the land, indicating all trees, significant flora and any information deemed useful and relevant to the thoughtful planning and design of buildings, roads and ponds.

3D Terrain Mapping

3 Dimensional Terrains

The next step is the creation of a 3-D model that allows us to accurately establish the relative elevations of all existing features and the impact of any changes to the terrain. This information is particularly helpful in planning for roads, foundations, retaining walls, terracing, back-cuts and the extent of cut-and-fill on a project.
